RRV New Releases
An unmatched heritage. This wine is made from the budwood of the vines that produced the California Chardonnay that rocked the industry by winning the infamous “Judgment of Paris” wine tasting in 1976. And the quality has persisted. This wine features floral aromatics with hints of vanilla and a subtle sweetness infused by aging in French Oak.
A hugely aromatic wine with notes of blueberry, blackberry, and spice. A smooth but strong, prevalent texture with elegant balance. Appian Way vineyard sits in an ideal growing location, with well-drained goldridge soil allowing roots to flourish, producing remarkably consistent high quality fruit. Drink it now or in 5 to 7 years. This Pinot Noir will have you at first sip, with its rich, bright fruit.
Bright red fruit aromatics with hints of raspberry and strawberry. Thick and rich on the palette, silky smooth in texture. Drink now or cellar for 5 to 7 years. A key feature of the Burke vineyard is careful stressing of the vines by spacing them tightly. The vines react by deepening their roots to increase access to nutrients, and the result is very concentrated, rich flavors and textures in the fruit.
Gold Medal, 2019 Sunset International Wine Competition
An elegant blend of wines with a unique flavor that we consider to be the essential “Russian River Valley” wine. This wine is a striking complement to our traditional single vineyard approach. It affords us the luxury to mix & match the distinct characteristics and flavor profiles from our various vineyards.
And it is anything but your traditional “blend”. Because it is made exclusively from our premium single vineyard wines, we think it is a cut above typical Cuvees. Case in point: 35% of this blend was aged in new french oak barrels, a level you will rarely, if ever, see in a Cuvee.
Even better, this wine is an incredible every day value!
Strongly aromatic and smoky characteristics from French & American Oak barrels. With strong tannins, this wine pairs wonderfully with hearty meat dishes like braised short ribs or filet mignon. Wedge vineyard sits in one of Sonoma’s newest viticultural regions that gets the optimal advantage of warm summer days & cool nights.
Tip: try it with chocolate truffles.
