From the Balistreri Estate Vineyard, where our Winemaker's love affair with his craft began in his teenage years, comes this rich and complex Pinot Noir. Presenting dark, ripe fruit on the nose with subtle herbal notes, your first sip of this wine will convey its complexity. On the palette, the acid is the driver but compliments the fruit perfectly. There is depth and multiple layers in this wine where the more you drink this pinot noir, the richer the flavors get. This is a top level single vineyard Pinot that bear’s our winemaker’s name and is an excellent example of his earth to glass light-touch winemaking process.
This wine is a part of our Library Collection of wines, which are a select group of our most age-worthy & rare wines.
The warm climate of the Santa Rosa Plains gives this wine gorgeous aromatic notes of rich, ripe red fruit. The palette has enormous depth and layers to it, including chocolate, vanilla, and violet notes.
From the Balistreri Estate Vineyard, where our Winemaker's love affair with his craft began in his teenage years, comes this rich & complex Pinot Noir. Presenting dark, ripe fruit on the nose with subtle herbal notes, your first sip of this wine will convey its complexity. An overtone of smokiness accompanies the strong dark cherry and blackberry flavors to coat your palate, followed by hints of tea and spice. The tannin structure and exquisite acid balance of this wine gives it fantastic aging potential, so enjoy it right away or age for up to 10 years.
Barbera's naturally high acidity combine with its strong flavors create a bold & flavorful but beautifully balanced wine. The aromas from this wine will immediately convey its richness, with notes of concentrated blackberry preserves and hints of leather and violet. On the palate comes the flavor intensity of dark fruit to match the aromas, tempered by vanilla notes from the oak barrels and beautifully balanced by its acidity.
This wine is a part of our Library Collection, which is comprised of a select group of our most age-worthy & rare wines. There are just three vintages (2014, 2015, 2016) of our Legacy Estate Merlot remaining in any significant quantity.
From the Santa Rosa Plains neighborhood, a relatively warm region by Russian River Valley standards, comes this elegant and subtle Pinot Noir. The Bella Luna Vineyard is small (just one acre) and its vines are tightly spaced to encourage root propagation and generate rich, luscious fruit. The warmth induces earlier ripening, resulting in strong aromas of ripe, red fruit with a distinctive tartness. A slow-acting yeast is employed to extend fermentation and extract the essential characteristics of the grape. The outcome is a complex and layered wine with delicate flavors of chocolate and hints of spice that complement its bright acidity and well-rounded fruit.
On the nose, this wine aromatically reflects the great outdoors with notes of plum, casis, tobacco, and earthy notes. The aroma is beautifully complemented by flavors of cranberry, cherry, sweet tobacco, and vanilla. Soft, bright, yet elegant, this Cabernet has a lovely long finish that makes it perfect for pairing with steak.
The 2017 Confluence Red Blend is made up of 72% Merlot, 7% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Sirah, 7% Cabernet, and 7% Barbera. On the nose, you can smell the different varietals all come through. The Merlot shines through, as does the richness of the Petite Sirah. The Cabernet Sauvignon adds notes of French Oak. On the palate, the acid is bright due to the Barbera. There are also hints of vanilla shining through from the french oak barrels as well as hints of tobacco flavors. You can taste the deep, dark richness from the Petite Sirah and the blackberry jamminess from the Zinfandel. The Confluence brings the best from all of the wines used and delivers a unique and satisfying blend.
