2018 Pinot Noir | Emma's Vineyard
Planted in 1998 with Dijon clones, it is situated in highly coveted Goldridge soils, faces west, and is cultivated using organic methods. This year, Gio selected exclusively clone 667, which comes from the hilltop overlooking an apple orchard. The wine is reminiscent of pure cherry pie with a ginger graham cracker crust and a hint of orange bitters. Despite being aged in almost 80% new oak, one might expect it to be a robust and powerful wine, but it remains remarkably balanced. The flavors are rich, and the overall experience is nothing short of exquisite.
