The world-class vineyard which produces this wine was planted back in 1988 by Saralee Kunde and named after her daughter, Catherine, hence the name “Catie's Corner”. Fermentation and barreling this Viognier down for 3 months had resulted in unbelievable aromatics and fragrance. This wine evolved from starting off quite fruity and fragrant, into a more serious, sophisticated wine. Fresh flowers and hints of apricots mingle in the nose followed by slews of spices, which Gio says is quite unique for a Viognier. On the palate, this wine is young, bright, and full of energy, making for a very refreshing beverage. Our 2022 Viognier is remarkably clean on the pallet and it is easy to take sip after sip. Yielding only 90 cases, this vintage is a Wine Club exclusive that is sure to be a crowd, albeit small crowd, favorite.
